Watch out for the DUCKS!

Here is a funny one for you guys... My parents for some reason in their elder years have decided they like to have animals. They have had lots of different things like, ducks, geese, turkey, goats, cows, pigs, etc. Anyway, right now they have ducks, geese and a turkey - oh and a cow. My mom says the ducks are either in their fence in the back yard or in the front yard, but when she is home they are always there. Well... these duck apparently know how to "sneak out" because here is a video of my parents ducks that made it on My Space.

Allie is 5

Well... like it or not it has happened. My little girl is now 5. Why does time have to go by so fast? And why does 5 seem so old when you are talking about your own child?

Allie had a fun birthday, she celebrated it many times. She had a little party at school, another little party at home, then her "Super Hero" party at her Granny and Poppy's house. It was a blast. I made the kids shirts and capes and Allie wore her Wonder Woman costume. They played lots of Super Hero vs. Villain games, but I think the hit was getting the villain with the silly string then when they fell, they got wrapped up in toilet paper. It seemed like all the kids had a great time. There was even was a star appearance by the Hulk - which Allie was a little scared of.

We gave Allie her first "American Doll" - shhhh it was actually the knock off at Target because it is much cheaper!!! Anyway, she is very excited to have an American doll with some cool accessories.

Halloween

We all had a fun Halloween. Allie started collecting candy on the Sunday before Halloween. We went to a Fall festival at her school that also had a truck-or-treat, so that was #1. Next, we went to choir practice on Monday (yes Allie and I are in the choir at church...that's another post), they had trick or treat for the kids there - #2. On Tuesday we had story time at the library, and yes, there was trick or treating there #3. Then finally Halloween day. I took Allie to the mall for a Frankenstein Monster Mash show, and yes again there was trick or treating at the mall #4. So before we even got to Halloween night we had been trick or treating 4 times. We had way to much candy before we even started. Finally trick or treat night was here and Allie and Jack went trick or treating with their friend Bryce. Jack slept the entire time, but Allie had a great time. She was so excited to be Wonder Woman. As you can tell from the picture with her friend Bryce. Now she says she wants to have a superhero birthday party - how exciting!

The things kids say...

I just wanted to share a funny thing Allie said to her teacher. Allie's teacher told her she loved her to death and Allie said..."but I'm not going to death"

One picture is Allie when she was almost 2, and the other is now, almost 5! Wow...how can it be that she will be 5! I miss my baby girl...

I am "BLOGGING"

I'll be the first to congratulate myself... I'm "Blogging." And... it gets better - finally, after a month and a half, I have internet. I mean who in the world can go a month and a half without internet. I must have been a cave women in my former life or something, because otherwise I don't think I would have been able to take it. I guess I should thank my neighbor, the one who has generously allowed us to "borrow" their wireless connection - of course then I would have to let him know we were using it -haha.
